Meet Dr. Jones
Dr. Jones is a board-certified ophthalmologist and retina specialist with family in Severna Park and Bel Air MD. He began his interest in ophthalmology in Maryland thirty years ago. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas, and his ophthalmology residency training at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. He went on to specialize in medical and surgical retina care at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
His academic appointments include staff scientist at the prestigious National Eye Institute, NIH, in Bethesda, Maryland. He served as Clinical Director of Retina at the George Washington University in Washington D.C. and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland.
Dr. Jones’ deep roots in Maryland make him a respected member of the social and medical communities where he lives and practices medicine. He also loves eating crabs with the fam!
Dr. Jones’ Interests
You will find Eric Jones to be a compassionate, down-to-earth physician who readily extends himself to take care of his patients. He has two children, Max, and Kelly, with his wife, Dr. Jenny Jones, a mathematics professor. His hobbies include skiing, fishing, building classic cars with his son, and watching his daughter play division 1 soccer in the NCAA.
